Introduction to Acting
Levels 1,2 and 3
Level 1:
This course introduces the basics of acting and covers many aspects, including improvisation, theater games, monologue study and on camera auditioning.
6 week session
Level 2: Emphasizing on camera auditioning for both commercial and legit work. Character development is the main focus of this class.
6 week session
Level 3:
A continuation of the work culminating in an evening of scenes presented for an invited audience.
6 week session
Intermediate Acting
Levels 1,2 and 3
Level 1
Monologue study- choosing a monolougue, creating a character, making choices and committing to them. This is the level where we begin to gain respect and understanding for the written word.
6 week session
Level 2
Scene Study- Actors will be cast in scenes and then experience the reahearsal process. Learning to take direction and understanding the process will be a major focus of this class.
6 week session
Level 3
Rehearsal and Performance
Actors will be cast in either scenes or monologues and will work to prepare them for an invited audience.
